What we're looking for in a team member
RHS is looking for hard-working team members who are trainable, but
experience would be helpful as well. Honesty, integrity, and work ethic,
however, is more important than experience and know-how. Team members may be expected to
work more than 40 hours per week, as well as Saturdays due to the nature of the business.
Note: In March and April, there will be several
landscaping projects to be done. We are looking for hard working
individuals who are physically capable of doing mulching and other
landscaping jobs.
Description of technician job duties
Job duties may include, but are not limited to: mowing, trimming, mole
control, mulching and other lawn and pest-related services. We offer
training in each of these areas for the right person. Keeping
accurate and timely paperwork is an essential part of the job. At
times, team members may be expected to distribute flyers door-to-door to
help promote business. Some team members may have little to no
supervision as his/her responsibilities increase. Spring, Summer and
Autumn hours may include long days, and team members may be required to work
Saturdays. However, it's our company policy to take Sundays off
to spend time at church or with family.
Pay/Compensation
Entry-level team members start out at $8/hour during start and training
times. As you learn and practice your duties more efficiently and
demonstrate an excellent work ethic, your pay can increase shortly after
your employment, and you have an opportunity to make up to $12/hr. before
the end of your first year. RHS currently does not offer benefits,
mostly due to the seasonal nature of this business. However, we
anticipate to offer benefits beginning in 2010. In lieu of benefits,
we offer team members who demonstrate an excellent work ethic the
opportunity to make a very competitive salary.
